Careers Counselling forms part of the Personal Learning Plan program and is supported each year during Home Group as part of the Student Life Program. It is particulatly relevant in Year 10 as it forms an integral component of the Personal Learning Plan course. Students are given opportunities to examine their own career path and are supported by the completion of the Vocations Interest Questionnaire (VIQ).
The VIQ report is provided to each student and outlines possible career options as indicated by the students’ responses on their questionnaire. The Careers and Transition Counsellor assists students at Marryatville High School with the support of Year Level Managers, Guidance Counsellors and Home Group Teachers in consultation with parents.
