Intensive Secondary English Course (ISEC)

These 10, 20, 30 and 40 week courses help students increase their English language proficiency in preparation for entering a high school program. The courses develop oral and written communication skills, increase students’ knowledge of Australian culture and develop skills for living and studying in Australia. Students are accepted according to their educational achievements in their home country and their English language proficiency.

High School Graduate program (HSG) years 8 to 12

The middle school program (years 8 to10) provides a broad and balanced curriculum to prepare students for university and further education studies. The Senior Secondary Education program (years 11 to 12) offers a wide range of subjects to complete a South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) over two years.

Study Abroad program (SAP)

This program provides the Australian cultural experience of studying in a high school and living in a homestay with an Australian family. A range of options are available to students depending on their English proficiency and the purpose of their study. A certificate is issued by the school at the satisfactory completion of the program.

Short term study tours

Short homestay programs from one to four weeks provide a great mix of education and cultural experience. The educational component can be tailored to group requirements, with intensive English study in the morning and school integration in the afternoon including half day or full day excursions or other special interest activities.

A member of the host family, (usually a student of Marryatville High School) is matched with each visiting student on a “buddy” system, travelling to and from school with them and helping the student understand the school’s routine and expectations.

ESOS legislative framework

The Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000, or ESOS Act, establishes legislative requirements and standards for the quality assurance of education and training institutions offering courses to international students who are in Australia on a student visa.  ESOS also provides tuition fee protection for international students.

Further details of the ESOS legislative framework are available on the International Education Services (IES) website.
