Originally a series of 24 interconnected scenes, the Year 10 Drama class presents to you 12 of Brecht’s works in his acclaimed play, Fear & Misery in the Third Reich. Taking a look at the ordinary lives of German people living in the 1930s, Fear & Misery is a haunting reflection of what happens when good people do nothing. The scenes dramatise the suspicion and anxiety experienced by people living in Nazi Germany, particularly Jewish citizens, as the ideologies of the Nazi Party spread and the power of Hitler grew.
Inspired by and written in the style of Brecht, Silence is Loyalty by Year 10 Drama student Asha Evans encapsulates the themes of the play and showcases her work as a playwright for the EIF Project.
