Transition from Year 6 to Year 7

The transition process for Year 6 students who are entering Year 7 is managed by the South Australian Department for Education.

Primary schools will provide families with transition information, including the Registration of Interest form. This process generally begins during Term 2 and information is typically distributed via email. Families are encouraged to ensure their contact details are up to date with their primary school to avoid missing important information.

Families of students currently attending a non-government school will need to request an application pack via email to the Department for Education, or alternatively access the information through the Department for Education website.

Further details regarding the enrolment and application process can be found here – Register to Start Secondary School

Once allocations have been finalised by the Department for Education, families allocated to Marryatville High School will be contacted via email to confirm residential and identification documentation. This process usually occurs in August.
