Extensive range of sporting and cultural activities
Marryatville High School has an extensive co-curricular program. The program includes an extensive range of sporting and cultural activities which offer opportunities for students to develop skills in an individual and team environment, as well as form relationships with teachers and students outside the classroom. While parental involvement is actively encouraged, skilled coaches are also employed to develop the abilities of students in these areas.
Cultural
Marryatville High School offers a range of cultural activities. This gives students the opportunity to develop particular intelligences and to form relationships with teachers and students outside the classroom.

Music
All students at Marryatville High School have the opportunity to participate in our many extra-curricular ensembles. Membership to senior ensembles is through audition or by invitation. Our ensembles perform regularly at school events and in the wider community, and at times participate in competitions and tours.
Orchestral (Studio strings, School orchestra junior orchestra special interest music students in years 8 and 9, Baroque ensemble, Baroque orchestra, Concert band, Concert band I, Concert band II) Jazz ( Big band 1, Big band II , Big band III) Choral (Junior choir, Concert choir, Chamber choir, Girls’ choir, Boys’ choir, Sing Tones, Pops Vocal) Other small ensembles (Guitar ensemble, Flute ensemble, Recorder ensemble, Percussion ensemble, Trios, quartets, jazz combos, and other ensembles, dependent on student needs.)
Sport
Marryatville High School offers a range of sporting and competition opportunities which challenge all students enrolling at the school. Our Saturday sports programme is focused on student participation but we also offer the opportunity to participate in elite and representative competitions. Marryatville High School is an executive member of the Sports Association of Adelaide Schools and the South Australian Catholic Secondary Schools Girls’ Sports Association Inc. In addition, we compete in knock-out competitions through SSSSA and other external organisations.
