Enrolment Steps
-
Step 1 - Application
-
Students apply to International Education Services in South Australia with their application and all relevant translated documents.
-
Step 2 - Offer of placement
-
After consideration of applications, successful students will be sent an offer of placement.
-
Step 3 - Payment
-
Applicants then inform the South Australian DfE and forward a bank draft (in Australian dollars) made payable to the “South Australian Department for Education”.
-
Step 4 - Confirmation
-
When documents have been received and enrolment fees paid, applicants will be advised of the confirmation of a place. An ‘acceptance advice form’ will then be issued to the student by the DfE.
-
Step 5 - Student visa
-
The applicant should complete this ‘acceptance advice form’ (which is required to obtain a visa) and take it to the Australian High Commission or the Australian Education Centre in the student’s home country to obtain the necessary visa. Character references and health clearances are also required when applying for a visa.
-
Step 6 - Travel arrangements
-
Having obtained a visa, students make their own arrangements to travel to Adelaide. Students should book their air ticket as soon as they receive the ‘acceptance advice form’. Students who are accepted will receive a pre-departure kit to help them prepare for their time in South Australia.
-
Step 7 - Arrival
-
Students advise the DfE of their time of arrival in Adelaide and their accommodation needs. A representative of the department will meet them and take them to their accommodation.
