Throughout this project, students have explored a variety of theatrical styles and approaches, including Gothic Theatre and Wayang Kulit (Indonesian Shadow Puppetry), which they have applied in small-group, self-directed performances.
During this performance evening, audiences will experience snippets and moments from A Girl Who Cried Wolf by Angela Betzien—an Australian play that explores the cult of celebrity, identity, the consequences of lies, and the importance of truth-telling.
Students have taken on a range of creative roles within their groups, including actors, directors, and off-stage designers, to present two imaginative and re-envisioned scenes from the play.
